Hi,

I'm using Premiere Pro on a frequent basis but have a major problem with the software : whenever I'm trying to render a sequence (Render In Out), the computer restarts randomly. It only takes a few seconds before it shutdown by itself.

I'm not sure why it's happening. Here's what I troubleshoot :
  • Switch Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration to either OpenCL, CUDA or Metal
  • Even the Hardware only crashes the computer
  • Change the Caches folder location
  • Update CUDA drivers
  • Restart a few times
  • Try the render on other projects
How this can be solved? Do you need any Logs or any other files to help you out find a solution?

My build is described under my profile attached to every post I make.

Thanks to let me know!

UPDATE : DaVinci Resolve (Lite version) during an output do the same thing as Adobe softwares..

Is there any way that the GPU could be the issue? The exact model is "EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 08G-P4-5173-KR, 8GB GDDR5, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)"

Should I change the definition of my system that is set at iMac 18.3? Would this be an option to correct the issues?

I also encounter the same problem. You can try updating cuda and webdrivers to the latest version. I updated, and in the bios, I moved active all core to auto. My PC works normally, however, rendering is slower than windows ^^

same boat! Where is this "Active All-Core) that I should set to auto in my BIOS? I assume this is a CPU setting? I'm on the z370 Aorus gaming wifi Mobo

I figured out that it was the overclocking that was a little too much finally!

So you turned overclocking off? or turned it down? And this fixed your issue?

I underclocked most of my components but no change. I've heard if you have the GTX 1000 series the 18,3 build is way more stable (or 18,2) so I might try that next. I also got rehabman's SMC sensor kexts installed but it doesn't look like anything is overheating???
