Hijust a question please. did you buy the back plate or you made it yourself? been looking at classifieds to look for a case. what's the hardest part of the task? thanks
I have a completely uncut case. Outside it is 100% original. From the back I have working usb2 and also 2 ethernet. I used the modemport for a second ethernet. Sound is from the GPU via HDMI. I also added a usb3 card. On the front I have working usb and on/off switch.
To get this working I cut of the backside ports of the original MB and soldered cables for the usb connection to the MB. For the ethernet I made short extensions cables. It is very tight but worked out.
The way the PC is placed in my workspace, the backside is the first thing you see so it was important to keep it original for me. It required a lo of planing and testing but was fun to get right.
Good luck with yours
Peter
