Hello,

While using my new hackintosh, I encountered two automatic reboots when I was using resource intensive softwares (VR softwares).
I'm wondering if this is some kind of power management issues and what are the solutions for this.
My SMBIOS is 18,3, maybe I should use 17,1 to match my CPU ?

EDIT : I went back to smbios 17,1, and created a custom ssdt for Power Management using the guide. I'll see how it goes !

Specs :
MOBO : Gigabyte Z170X-Ultra Gaming
CPU : Skylake i7 6700k
GPU : GTX 1080 Ti
RAM : 32 GB
PSU : Corsair CS 650m
OS : Sierra 10.12.6

Thank you for your help

Hello,

Glad to read someone's feedback on the same issue that I am having.
I have tested many PSUs and Pico PSUs and the automatic reboots are definitely only occurring on MacOS. I am running Sierra.
This is most probably a power management issue related to Hackintosh only.
I can affirm that with certainty because Windows 7,8 and Linux run smoothly on my system.

I have a very similar build as I have posted here https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/hackintosh-and-pico-psu-do-not-seem-to-get-along-so-well.240543/

I have tried everything so far including changing the RAM.

Have you managed to solve the problem?

Thanks,
M
