Power Management Issue - is this thread still valid?

Hello I have successfully got my Hackintosh running as it was back in October 2015 and can access the desktop YAY!

It keeps hanging and freezing if any power state comes into effect UN-YAY! :

Hi guys i found this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295587-power-management-for-sandyivy-bridgehaswell-cpus/ and would really appreciate some guidance as to whether or not i should follow it and if it is still the best workaround for my problem.

My Hardware
i7 3770k
Asus P8P67 PRO (a nightmare with Hackintosh's)
16GB Corsair Vengeance
2 x 980Ti GTX in SLi
Samsung EVO 500GB SSD

Your opinion matters! I've just spent 10 days getting the hack to this stage, last thing i want to do is mess up all that work.

A lot of folks have reported success with the steps in this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...vericks-native-cpu-igpu-power-management.html. It says it's for Mavericks, but it's still applicable to later versions of OS X.

Thanks, ended up buying a new system with UEFI bios. Now trying to get that to work! LOL
