I received the results in the attachment on the right and was disappointed compared to what everyone was getting. I thought I had installed the drive using the wrong connector or something. The board is Asus z97i-plus. I use a 256gb SSD as primary and I installed a 2 TB HDD as storage.

Solution: Disk Speed Test defaults to Documents for where it Reads and Writes. I had moved my Home folder to the 2TB HDD, which resulted in moving the Documents location to the HDD. I updated the target location in the speed test to a location on the SSD and received the results in the attachment on the left. Write was actually running in the red, I just snapped the photo while it was slower.

I recently replaced my Samsung 830 120GB with a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB. The Black Magic scores are a bit odd. With my new SSD, the write speed starts at 500, then drops to 275 after about a minute and consistently runs at that. I made sure I installed the latest firmware with that fix they were talking about, although I think that was to fix the read speeds slowing. Anyone know why this might be? I'm only using about 40% of the capacity. Thanks!
