Hi guys,

I just have upgraded my iMac 27" mid 2015 with a 1TB NVMe Samsung EVO Plus and I am getting low speed results for this kind of SSD.. before I was getting almost the same speeds as an external USB SSD drive.

Anyone knows why I am getting these low speed values ?? These are abnormal speeds for these kind of Samsung SSD.

hi, because you bus speed, if you have a ssd with 1000 MB/SEC write but your computer support only 500 MB/SEC write, in your Mac you have low write and read because the buss speed iMac model.

Hi, is not about your ssd, is about your motherboard, impossible to change nothing.

Hi do you think I can swap my iMac mid 2015 logic board with a compatible PCI X4 logic board from another iMac model? I was thinking the late 2015 logic board.. do you think this logic board is compatible with the mid 2015 with the iMac case and conectors?

Samsung nvme 960, read: 2542 / write: 1431 MB/s

Does the speed stay the same for you with multiple attempts? The first one looks the same but write drops to 371MB/s and read to 1031MB/s for me
