Curious to see what you keep in your dock- here's mine:

How To:
To take a screenshot of the dock or a window, Command-Shift 4 then press spacebar.
To take a screenshot of a small area, Command-Shift-4 then select the area.
To take a screenshot of the whole desktop, Command-Shift-3.

Here's my dock. I should remove the iLife stuff as I really only use GarageBand from the iLife suite so my dock is way longer than it should be.

I always forget the command to grab screenshots so I have the Grab utility on my dock. Thanks Tony for reminding me of the screenshot shortcut keys. :D

What is kind of cool about this thread is trying to figure out what applications those icons represent in everyone's docks.

Tony has got a hazard icon that I've got no idea what it represents, and Adam has a bunch I don't recognize, like that Pineapple and the green spiral icon.

Intriguing...

Hazrd con is Fission by Rouge Amoeba

Great non-destructive mp3 audio editing- dead simple to use. Very intuitive.

Pineapple is Handbrake
http://handbrake.fr/
The best video ripper/encoder on Mac. Free, open source. And now it does any video conversion instead of just DVD rips, which used to be it's sole function. I used to use VisualHub for converting video before this, but now it's been discontinued, possibly because Handbrake does it's job now. VisualHub is a great program too- still useable.

Yea, especially if people use custom icons. ;)

In my case, the Pineapple is Handbrake and the green swirl is Sound Studio.

Didn't mean to steal your thunder..

I only customize my folders for easy viewing in the finder- the little sea urchin is my icon for Applications- I have it set to Folder and List view so it's a great quick launch. :)

Funny you mention VisualHub - I still use it too, even though it's been dead for a while. I have a few different programs to use in the event that VisualHub stops working, but I hope that's a long way off.
