This little workhorse is "Old, not obsolete" (said w/Arnold voice). X58-UD3R+Xeon X5650 at stock speeds, but it's clearly time to upgrade the 9800-GT to something newer.

For who is curious about power consuption:
Whole UC with 1xR9 290X is eating 105W in idle (OSX desktop, chrome opened)
Whole UC with 2xR9 290X is eating 125W in idle (OSX desktop, chrome opened)
ATi's Zero core is doing well !!

A 6-Core nMP CPU pulls a LuxBall score of 2575 compared to the 3383 for the 8-Core.
