This is my second build, updated to Z97-UP5 with i7-4790K and EVGA GTX 760 from a Z77/3770k/GTX650ti, for Final Cut Pro X editing. I'm much pleased with the improvement with no overclocking. Thoughts on improving the score are appreciated.

These scores are with an 12 Core Xeon E5 2695, Asus x79 Rampage IV Gene, and EVGA 750TI. Since I haven't been able to get Turbo Boost working in OS X, I assume this score should be a little higher.

This is my result so far!

i7 4930K
Asus Rampage IV Extreme (waiting on Black)
GTX 980
16GB Gskill Trident
H110 Watercooling

I haven't played with any overlocking yet (I set the profile to gamer's water-cooled in BIOS)

The only things I can't get working are USB3, Bluetooth and the front panel USB

Complete novice. 1st post...

OUTSTANDING site / guides / recommendations!!!

After some bumps with various boot flags and bios changes to install with onboard video and no turbo... here's my new install at last! (see profile)

3303 single-core
10481 multi-core

Now to see if there's low hanging fruit to improve these numbers.

Is there a tool to check out video performance?
