concerning CPU keep in mind it is a 44 threads so at the level of a 6950x but much more flexible in term of multithreads
Also for the OPEN CL: it is per card so multiple per 2 with cuda
thinking about going to dual radeon Vega 64 (natively recognized by high Sierra it could be interesting) or 2 titan Xp

Attached is the results of my Hackintosh that I got running yesterday and have been beating on today to check for stability (so far so good).

In BIOS I set the 5930K to run at 4.5GHz although for whatever reason macOS is not detecting the clock speed. I'll have to research that and see if I can resolve that issue.

Intel Core i7-5930K @ 4.5GHz (reporting as 3.5GHz in macOS) Watercooled Corsair H100i
MSI X99A SLI Plus
32GB DDR4 2400MHz Ballistix Sport CL16 Kit Quad Channel
2 x GeForce GTX 1080 cards (this is primarily for SLI in Windows for gaming)

As an interesting note the 6700K in my Late 2015 iMac 5K got a single core score of 5283. I'm very happy that my six core is nipping on the heels of that CPU in single core.

Nice 15% opencl performance increase with Vega in 10.13.2 beta 0 (https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/compute/1325116 -> https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/compute/1326514), but fan spin fast and loud, and Lilu panics now, so no Whatevergreen, and hazardous sleep/wake.
