Couple of questions/comments.
The video card, not sure it that is supported (is it based on a reference design, ie 2 dvi, one hdmi, and one displayport), but I could be totally wrong.
The corsair power supply is very nice, but with the system you're spec'ng out, thats way way more power then you'll need, unless you plan to overclock the heck out of the system. I have a i7-860 with a msi p55-gd65, 3 hd, 2 dvd burners, and a 5750 and a 6 yr old 550w power supply is more then enough. But I don't overclock though...

When it comes to the i5 vs the i7, the benefits of the i7 will be negated if the application you plan on using is not multi-threaded, which will make it more dependent on clock speed then anything else. Which always makes the i5 - i7 argument fun, gotta watch the what the processors will automatically scale up to for single, double, and triple threaded apps.

Also, what I will say, in terms of the power supply, watch the efficiency numbers, getting a large power supply like that for a little power sipping system, could be counter productive. Power supplies that have 80 plus certifications are only rated at 20%, 50% and 100%, meaning a good rule of thumb is to try and get you're systems idle power requirements to be closer to the 20%, going to far below that the efficiency starts to dip, and depending on the quality of the psu. I recently went with a seasonic x-650, mainly due to the discounts that newegg had. You may want to look at the seasonic s12 psu series, or an antec new tp series, may be a few bucks cheaper, and probably a bit more efficient then the old corsair. Just don't see the need to pay more upfront, and also on the back end, power bill that is.

Anyways, good luck
