Perfectly New Lion Install - Remains frozen at the login screen for several minutes

Hi,

I just installed Lion on my machine (config below). Everything works fine, except for when i start the machine, it gets to the login screen and freezes for several minutes (anywhere between 5-10 mins). The mouse cursor moves but nothing else responds. After several minutes, it kinda wakes up and i am able to enter password and it works perfectly fine after.

Anyone know of a sol. to this issue?

Also, I would like to mention that prior to this clean install of the Mac OS I was faced with the same issue. I thought a clean install might fix the issue but apparently, it did not. I guess this suggests this is a result of some hardware issue or some setting on my system. Any help is appreciated.

anyway, fixed the problem by upgrading to the ML...
