Any recommendation for a card that works with Sierra?

I only have 2 SATA ports onboard (used for 2 HDs)

I need to connect DVDRW, so on SATA card would be fine

It should. According to this and other links I've seen, macOS comes with a driver for the Marvell 88SE91xx chips: http://www.datoptic.com/ec/dual-sat...arvell-88se9120-with-low-profile-bracket.html.

It does WORK! And it is also bootable (at least in UEFI mode)
