Hello,
Successfully installed Sierra and pretty much everything is working. I am currently using an Nvidia Quadro NVS 295, which is old and weak, and only get output on one of the Displayports(tested both monitors on both ports and they are working).
TurboBoost also doesn't seem to be working under heavy load after applying the SSDT in the first post and creating one with ssdtPRgen. Would the factory power supply be able to power a good gaming graphics card (for example the ones from last month's Buyer's Guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/september/2016)?

For a SSF computer the best graphics card you can put in it is an Nvidia GTX 750ti SFF.

If you have a Microtower or full size tower pc then I saw a guy was selling PSU adapter cables for this proprietary HP PSU.
on ebay.

That card wouldn't fit. Its a full sized bracket which uses 2 PCI Slots. Will need a Low Profile bracket. Would need something like this and replace with a Low Profile Bracket. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SOXMPJY/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

Hi. I haven't tried the VoodooDA audio kext yet. I just installed the HDMIAudio and I immediately got audio over HDMI and never looked back. View attachment 209641
I really don't know why it didn't work for you, especially since you did a clean install.

You are right about the NullCPUPowerManagement. You should be able to remove that and system should continue to function properly.

Hi @pastrychef I'm looking your builds very closely! Thanks for your job man! :)

I am considering to buy this machine for home, in the meantime the new MBP is released..., so you have the same monitor as me! Is this machine capable at 4K resolution? Just for displaying the system, I'm not pretend to use it to render 4K or something like that.

Thanks!

Hi, mekemekex. Yes, 4K works, but... The video card that I use in my Elite 8300 is a GT 630 low profile video card and it only has DVI-D and HDMI. The P2715Q monitor only has HDMI 1.2. This means that when I use 3840x2160, I am limited to 30Hz.

I did not try 4K with the Intel HD 4000, but according to what I read, the HD 4000 only has HDMI 1.4 which is also not capable of 4K@60Hz.

If you want to use 4K@60Hz, I recommend you look for the tower version of the Elite 8300 and use a video card that has DisplayPort to get 3840x2160@60Hz.

If you want to use 4K@6Hz, I recommend you look for the tower version of the Elite 8300 and use a video card that has DisplayPort to get 3840x2160@60Hz.

Hi pastrychef, If I will go with this setup I was thinking in to add this graphic card:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5160#ov
http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/faq-page.aspx?fid=3595&pid=5160

They said with DP the resolution can be up to 4096 x 2160 that seems odd to me, DP 1.2 allows this screen resolutions? I can't find this info grrr.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that video card should work fine for 4K@60Hz.

Just picked up one of these and excited to get started, is there any updated instructions to go straight to Sierra?

I would begin by installing Windows-7 on this PC first so that you can flash the bios. Then upgrading the bios to the latest version which is 3.02
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7

Anything the new BIOS adds that make it necessary for hackintoshing?

Instructions for the BIOS say that if you have a version prior to 3.x you have to first upgrade to 2.99 before flashing 3.03 (the latest version).

Hahaha Jwats06 we're on the same boat! I've bought one last week and I'm expecting the delivery next week. Please keep your progress with Sierra I was thinking to try to install it as well.

The procedure to installing Sierra should be the same as with El Capitan.
