pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Yes, no change.

I don't know what else it can be. As I said, I downloaded the EFI from post #1, and it worked fine. I don't have any virtualization stuff installed on my Z370-G. But I have Vmware Fusion on my Z390M, and Ethernet works fine there. They both use nearly identical EFIs. The only difference is that the Z390M EFI has a few additional items to get NVRAM working.

Will try it a few times then and see if any change. Thanks!

11.5.2 works great.

...but still no working ethernet. My networking system can even report what the IP address my Ethernet NIC has (169.x.x.x) and knows it's online, but still no go, DHCP or an appropriate manual IP address - neither work.

169.xxx.xxx.xxx = Not getting an IP.

When your ethernet cable is connected, what lights do you see flashing from the motherboard ethernet port?

Does the port work in Windows and/or Linux?

I don't get it. I don't know why it's not working for you.

Something I did, though I am not sure if it helped in any way, is to remove the ethernet device in the network configuration panel. Just select the ethernet item and click the minus sign on the bottom.

I can't recall if it added automatically on my next reboot, or if I had to add it manually.

Worth the try...

Tried - no change. :(

Will delete then reboot it a bit.
