pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

I have another small issue. My build will not go to sleep automatically. The monitor shut off but the computer never goes to sleep. I can do it manually and wake it no issues, but I won't to by itself.

@pastrychef @ChaosMonkey I have one of those reclaimed MacBook Air cards in a PCI adapter.

That should be fine. I use the same thing on my Clunker build.

Did you apply one of the proper USB 15 port limit fixes?

Please post your EFI folder.

Also, please enter the following in Terminal and post the output:
Code:
pmset -g assertions

I used your EFI folder in my build. I tried to read your guide to limit the number of usb but it seems as my clover configurator is a bit different than the one you have used in your example. Under the boot section. The place where you write which ports you disable is not there on mine.

Do one of the USB 15 port limit fixes and see if it helps your sleep.

How do I use the IORegetry app. I have it and launched it, but where do I see the pots?

What are you trying to see in IORegistryExplorer? It's purpose is to report on your system information.

I was trying to see the different USB ports and note their numbers, is it the wrong tool? :)

Currently, the easiest way to do a proper USB 15 port limit fix is to use Hackintool.

  1. Launch Hackintool.
  2. Go to the USB section.
  3. Plug in a USB 2 device to each and every USB port on your computer.
  4. Plug in a USB 3 device to each and every USB port on your computer.
  5. Click on the Hackintool button to generate your SSDT/kext.

I just wanted to remind Radeon VII users to not be alarmed by abnormally high GPU temperature readings. This is the "junction" temperature and it's typical to see ~100-110C under load.
