pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Thanks for the help. One other niggling issue:

I have 2 enermax fans connected to the enermax hub. They are being used as the radiator fans and are the only fans in my system (TT Core PI). As a result, there is nothing connected to my CPU fan and I keep getting an error asking me to connect one.

Do you have any idea how I should connect them? I've searched online for hours.

Thanks again.

I think that the fans should be connected to the motherboard, no?

Pastry Chef...any idea why I can't get sleep based on the following?

I think this is your problem:
"pid 339(useractivityd): [0x00000211000183e9] 00:00:05 PreventUserIdleSystemSleep named: "BTLEAdvertisement""

Look in Activity Monitor to see what pid 339 is.

I have several SSDs that I'm trying with various EFIs and at present none will let the hack sleep, even though it used to before 10.14. But now, even with an old 10.13.6 disk I get no sleep. I'm wondering if it's a BIOS setting.

Here is the result of a different boot disk still having no sleep

I started a poll a while back asking where others put their kexts...

As of today, 2/3 of the respondents don't do it the recommended way while only about a quarter of the people do...

It's not recommended that we jay walk or drive with one hand either...

For a really, really long time, I have not put my hackintosh kexts in L/E.....I've always put them in EFI/Clover/Kexts/, sometimes in the directory for the actual macOS version, but more recently always in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other........and I also seem to have less problems as a result......so only in E/C/K/macOS version or E/C/K/Other, and never anywhere else.

This looks fine and system should be sleeping.

I agree /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ works really well for me. Zero problems.

Can you think of anything in the BIOS that could be a problem? Thanks

No. Have you tried disabling hibernate and Power Nap?

Try booting in verbose mode to see where it gets stuck.

Idk who dmdccc is or where his/her EFI folder is.

Typically, you just take an EFI folder and copy it to the EFI partition of your boot drive.

Yes, EFI is an acronym. It stands for Extensible Firmware Interface. It is also the name of the folder which contains most (or all) of the stuff that makes macOS run on non-Apple hardware.

If you are having a lot of trouble installing macOS to your PC, you can always try:
  1. (1) Doing a clean install from your Mac or (2) clone your existing system drive from your Mac to a new drive.
  2. Copy a working EFI folder to the EFI partition of the new drive.
  3. Transplant the drive back to your PC.

So i modified the clover plist to boot in verbose and that works fine. I cant seem to get verbose mode going when installing OS X however I was able to show log, unfortunately I cant save it because it freezes. The issue seems to happen when nodes are assigned. I get (manually copied from screen):

UID: 0, EUID: 0, GID: o, EGID: 0, PID 584, Proc: osinstallersetupd
ODSessionRelease request, SessionID: 228CAF0E-4DE3-8526-D75003918DD0
ODSessionRelease completed

then freeze.
