Unlikely to work with HDMI due to Nvidia driver issue.
Try a DVI to HDMI adapter.
No HDMI audio, see HDMI Audio AppleHDA/Post #1/Problem Reporting; post to thread linked with requested files attached.

Is there a section for Pascal?
Not all the hardware is the same.
and over 300 pages from many different pieces of hardware and macOS.
Takes hrs and hrs to find info on any hardware.
Would be good to section by chipset not so general.
Ran both scripts.
No codec detected.
Used with DVI to HDMI adapter (worked fine with Quadro600)
so I think adapter is ok.

and ran script
Have sound on HDMI and DVI
Only have Samsung TV cannot test 5.1 etc.

nothing was working for me (though ive yet to try DVI2HDMI adapter) to get sound trough HDMI on my GTX 1050 ti OC. I tried so many solutions, VoodooHDA 2.8.8, 2.8.9, AppleHDA Disabler, Toleda's patcher app, HDMIaudio.kext, DP-to-HDMI adapter, custom DSDT .. in the end, I just stumbled onto a newer version of VoodooHDA (2.9) on Sourceforge and it did the trick:

The new Voodoo also got the rear audio ports working (they were also not showing up before)
BTW the system is a Dell Optiplex 7010:
