Partitoning an SSD to run both OS X and Windows

Is it possible to partition a SSD with Windows already installed on it, and install OS X on the other partition in order to dual boot?

It needs to be GPT for OS X to be able to boot. You'll need to format and repartition.

While you can boot dual boot from a single drive; separate drives are recommended. Going Bald has an excellent guide on the subject.
