I'd like to retain the option to install both El Capitan and Windows 7 on my Hackintosh.

How do I format and partition one physical drive to be able to do both?

I'm pretty sure that the Mac OS requires a GUID partitioning scheme, and doesn't Windows require a Master Boot Record? Or can it work with GUID as well?

Has anyone done it and can you point me in the right direction?

My motherboard is UEFI (mentioned in my profile to the left).

Installation on a single drive is more common in the laptop section. For desktops best practice is to use a separate drive. For a laptop guide see http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-proboo...-install-yosemite-hp-laptops-clover-uefi.html and look at the Windows installation section.
