Overclocking i5-750

I've found that overclocking my Intel i5 leads to lower Geekbench scores....not really sure why but seems to work best at stock settings with Speedstep enabled. Any other ideas why?

Instability? Try a lower clock. What are you using to check for stability besides Geekbench?

I once clocked my i5 750 to 4.0ghz with only chicken class kingston value 1333 ram... It shoots up scores... 200x20 cpu & 200x6 ram (downclocked).... PCH 1.5v.... Ram 1.25V/1.5v and ofcourse, CPU stable at 1.45V.... Turboboost disabled, C-States Disabled... Speedsteps enabled, and i have no dsdt at all... runs perfect both win 7 and osx...
