Hi, i did some research about overclocker my CPU but nothing.... :/

i'm running Maverick 10.9.1 with MacPro 3.1 for OC.

now my CPU is at 3.4GHZ and i would like to OC to 3.8GHZ or 4.0GHZ with stock fan.

someone can help me please ?

Thanks and sorry for my english.

Just change your multiplyer from 34 to 38, works for me, stable as hell..

I have not the same motherboard, but the cpu is the same i think.

oh that's simple!

Do you think i can reach 4.0GHZ or more with the stock fan?

Actually, i'm running @ 3.8GHZ and the CPU Heatsink is at : 38c

I put 38 on Turbo setting and multiplier.

Maybe, depends on your whole system, how much your GPU generates heat, how ventilated your chassi is..

You should not look at your temperature in idle, try download a stress program and look what numbers you get.. over 95°c is not optimal, but its "OK" under short period of time.

My CPU is at 93°c in BF4, and im looking for a better cooling solution, the Corsair 100i looks intresting, but expensive as hell.. maybe ill go for Noctua.

I have the same setup for my dad's computer. It is running at 4.2 GHz. Stable as hell. I strongly recommend you get a small closed loop water cooling system like the corsair h60- h100 if you are going over 3.8. I got the h60 for my dad's an d it works awesome. All inside the Node 304 case.
