Hey all, I'm bnolan. I'm new to tonymacx86 and I just want to say thanks for all the support. I've been reading around and you guys are a great community, so it was only natural I joined.
Why I'm here
I'm in the tech industry, where I work as a web developer/UX designer and have been running with Macbook Pro's recently due to location, travel and portability. However, I used to build custom PC's and I recently wanted to take up the project of hackintoshs and really get into the niche community. I was just wondering if my parts are compatible with a Yosemite hackintosh build. Already built my computer, but have been too busy to really try and get os x on there until recently. Reading through a lot of guides, I've been a little confused and intimidated at using OSX. This build is primarily for a workstation home studio to do my professional video/graphic production with a little gaming on the side. (as to why I went with the CPU I got)
Questions I Have
1. Are my parts feasible?
2. Do I need to reformat my SSD into a mac suitable format or can I just leave it alll hooked up ready to go and Unibeast/Multibeast will do the rest.
3. Upon using Multibeast, does this copy OSX and all the driver files to the SSD, so I can boot normally without the USB drive?
4. Do I need internet hooked up to run multibeast? Currently, its in my home studio and I have no CAT6 or wireless adapter connected to my build, and I'm hoping multibeast would install all (or most) of the basic drivers to get it running, then I can go find the rest when I get internet hooked up
