OSX EI Captain Can't shutdown completed

It is a common problem with the Vostro you have. No known solution (Mavericks works ok?).

You can use search to find plenty of discussion.

I am using the El Capitan, I have not installed Marericks. So there is no solution for this my problem? There's no way I make power management tests and see if something causing the problem? from what I saw in all versions of OSX happens it ..

I think I've read that Mavericks does not have the same problem. AFAIK, that is the only solution.

Thank you for your attention and response.

UsbConnector values for internal ports should be 255. The hubs connected to the first port of each EH01/EH02 are considered internal. You did not create overrides for the hubs themselves. Refer to the ProBook repo for examples (Projects link in my signature).

Could also be HaltEnabler=true (try without).
I'm Checking the examples in your repo (HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch/hotpatch) but i don't understand well the override, you mean changing from PR11 to another ex PR12 ??

thanks for the help

Look for the examples that include HUB1/HUB2 configurations. Note: ports on hubs are not configured with UsbConnector, but the ports on the controller (that are connected to the hub) are (EH01/EH02, PR11/PR12).

Hello, @RehabMan. Hope you are here,

Recently, I found that when I unplug all external usb connector (Include mouse, usb stick). Then my laptop can shutdown without any problem. So, could you help me to check if my USB patch is correct or not? or you have any idea what caused my problem ?

I'm currently using your USB Inject All Kext https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-USB-Inject-All. All USB port worked.

Thank you so much :)

What is the specifics regarding the issue with shutting down your laptop?

As what I already describe in this thread. When I click shutdown, my laptop's screen goes off and the power light stay on. So, I have to hold power button to turn off my laptop.

But recently, I found that if I unplug all external USB Connector, my laptop can shutdown normally (power light turn off).

Keep in mind there is a 15-20 sec delay...

Did you implement USB correctly?
