Hey all,

First of all I would like to thank Tony and co. for all of their absolute inspiring and brilliant work over the years. I have so far completed 2 hackintosh builds, and now looking at my third (and final for a while) beast, which none of would even be near possible without this site.

I do apologise in advance if this question has been asked before, I have sifted through so much of the information on this site and it's quite mind boggling! :)

I am looking at building a machine with the following basic specs:

Supermicro x9Dai dual socket board
2 x Xeon 2670 (with room to upgrade to the 2690's in the future)
64gb of ram (with a great deal of upgrade capability up to 512gb on Registered ECC)
2 x GTX 570
Cooler Master Cosmos II case
The rest is self explanatory, 256gb SDD for OS, couple of HDD's etc etc

The major question is, getting the maximum ram capability out of the board allows me to get up to 512gb in the future - at 32gb dimms (16x32gb)

Will OSX handle 32gb Registered ECC DIMMS ?

And if so, what is the maximum capacity currently supported?

Are there any things I should be aware of when it comes to quad channel ram support?

RAM is the only thing that kind of scares me with this build! lol :)

Any advice or opinions will be appreciated!

Thanks everyone!
