I have the same type of challenge.The CPU boots not into mac os x unless i use the boot flags cpus=1.My bios is F16
bios.Not too much settings in my bios.Here are my specs
Hp dm4 2000
Amd 7400 graphic card
intel hp 3000 graphic card
8gb of ram,2*4gb ddr3
intel cpu core i5 2430 @2.4Ghz
Yosmite os 10.10.
I also discovered that davinci resolve 12.5 doesn't work after installation.I suppose 512 mb for intel Hd 3000 is the problem.
