Greetings Hackintosh community.

This is extremely frustrating, and about the fourth time, I've typed this entire post due to this issue. (Yes now I have realized there is a "save draft" button while composing a forum post). Randomly (and quite often) my computer will freeze, and the only way to come out of it is to do a hard reset and pray to god I didn't lose any un-saved processes.

I have done some research on this issue, and it was said to be my SSD not having TRIM enabled. However, I have now enabled TRIM support on my SSD and the issue still persists.

There is no specific action that I do on the computer before this happens, so I am unsure of what may be causing this problem. Hopefully, a professional can diagnose the attached EFI.zip file and let me know if my configurations are incorrect. You will also find my boot.log file attached.

System Specifications:
Motherboard:
Z390 AORUS ULTRA-CF [F9 BIOS]
CPU:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: AMD Radeon (TM) RX 580 (Yes I know osx says RX480 but it is indeed a RX580)
SSD: M.2 WD Blue 3D NAND 2TB PC SSD
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16
OS: (Dual Boot - Windows 10 / OSX Catalina 10.15) [iMac 19,1]

UPDATE 4/18/2020
I Am still having this issue with random freezing. This is the last thing that shows up in my system log before everything freezes up.

For those still experiencing this issue, I'm happy to report that I was able to get to the bottom of the issue with Apple Support via chat tonight.

Go to folder /library/extensions and if there is a file in that folder "Trigger5Core.kext", move it to the trash and empty the trash.

Restart, and you should be good to go! Hopefully your luck is as good as mine!

Thanks for your suggestion, but it did not work. There is no "Trigger5Core.kext" in my /library/extensions folder.

Good Morning,
for your information ;
The problem has disappeared. With the 10.15.2 update.

I am having nearly the same issue, with nearly the same build hardware. I do have the z390 designare mobo, i9 9900k, rx 5700xt and 32x2 gb Crusial ddr4 ram 2666. If i leave my computer for more than 5 minutes... even if it is doing a task the whole thing freezes up.

Similar problem here,....(Designare Z390x 9700k, 5700 xt nitro etc)

@hairyconipiton did you try the trim on/off or the kext file ?
I will try tomorrow.

// on my side I had some longer working sessions where no freeze happens but it’s quite likely if you let the pc unattended - that it weil freeze.
I had some freezes too with photos app - but after basic scan of my images was finished it does not appeared to happen again.
Hard do guess where the crash comes from.

Any logs I / we could check?

So i was having random freezing issues as well. Never really on my windows partition besides random crashes that I associated with a bad OC or something. Issues started to occur even with stock bios settings and I knew my GPU was fine and my CPU was probably fine as well. I decided to run to best buy and buy some new ram just to see and low and behold all my issues resolved.. I'd try to check your ram with testing or even new sticks like I did. The freezing is associated with some hardware failure i'm guessing and in my case it was.
