why don't you try booting your backup, running multibeast from there and apply it to your fresh install disk?

The same thing hit me afterwards and I did just that. Still, no dice.
The whole thing is still so fresh that there is not much information to research.
That's why I'll try a bit later.

That occured for me too. Try lowering the system definitions (Install SMBIOS iMac 13,1) and add "EthernetBuiltIn" to "org.chameleon.boot.plist". It should be working now.

i Followed all the steps in the guide...

Still can't upgrade to Yosemite, when i try to install it it gives me kernel issues, and i get back to the boot screen...

any ideas?

For now i would do a clean install on a single hard drive that is not part of the raid . Then i would wait to see if setting up the raid is the same as mavericks and just clone from this hard drive to your raid.

Since my asking of this question, I figured out how to update from Mavericks to Yosemite on a system operating in RAID.
