Hey, I am researching different ways to upgrade from ML 10.8.2 to El Capitan or Sierra. I think I am going to need to figure out a way to switch from Chimera to Clover. It is my understanding that, with Clover, you can upgrade right from the App Store like a normal Mac.
Is this true of upgrading from 10.8.2 to newest Sierra?
I tried making a test Clover USB to see if it worked and could boot. I followed this guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/test-drive-how-to-create-a-clover-usb.127134/ It loaded Clover but then gave me this screen http://i.imgur.com/1sOvZfq.png
In the guide, when it says "Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.9/ and add" I went to /10.8/ instead because I am trying to load 10.8.2. I am thinking that might have messed it up. How can I get it working? Can Clover even work with 10.8.2?
Would it be easier for me to just do a fresh install of newest Sierra and then use Time Machine to migrate? Or maybe I can just copy all my important files to an external and then load them back on after the fresh install. Would migrating with a Time Machine backup work with a fresh Sierra install( with Clover)?
Thanks!
