OS X Lion 10.7.2 freezes on 64bit mode

it freezes at the Desktop when i boot into 64bit mode.. however i can see my adium app logging in all my accounts.. i can move my mouse cursor but i can't click anywhere..

Perhaps the trackpad doesn't work. Have you tried a USB mouse?

I'm using USB mouse already.. i can also move the mouse cursor both mouse and trackpad..

I had the same problem and it seemed to be related to apps starting up via "reopen windows upon startup." Sometimes if I waited long enough a bunch of windows would pop up and I was back in business. In other cases, just rebooting over and over until it eventually worked. Since then I have changed my system to use a DSDT and haven't had the problem since.

ETA: I always unchecked reopen windows, for some reason it didnt always take I guess.
