OS X El Capitan Public Beta 3 is Now Available

Apparently, Enoch 2748-latest official version-is having issues booting el capitan updates on certain machines whereas clover 3252(3) does not! –read the following posts from jsl and cooSee regarding their attempts to upgrade:

Unfortunately both v2737 and v2748 no more working from DB4 to DB5 because FakeSMC.kext fails to load in /System/Library/Extensions with Kernel Panic in my Asus Z77, Z87, Z97 MBs even repaired permission by sudo chown -Rf 0:0. incidentally new version of clover 3253 automatically sets CsrActiveConfig bootflags in your config.plist for you making it easier to boot beta 3 by default!-see below-courtesy of clover team

Not true, injects CsrActiveConfig=0x7F (all SIP functionality disabled)
Manually add (Property List editor) config.plist/RtVariables/CsrActiveConfig/0x0 (hopefully) and restart.

Absolutely.

Regarding Chameleon, the boot loader works as designed. The fix is the same as for Clover:
1. Boot Yosemite/kext-dev-mode=1
2. Install FakeSMC and other unsigned kext to El Capitan partition
3. Repair permissions and rebuild cache for El Capitan partition
4. Restart El Capitan

thanks again,Toleda-was not aware of this!-have updated my clover from 3252 to 3253 - so will need to check what bootflag is present-if it was 0x7F will have to set 0x3 in PlistEditPro again-which i was previously using cause i needed to edit my voodoo kext (for VIA2021 such a bothersome chip) which is not giving me hdmi sound only analogue- did not have this problem in DP4 (upgraded to DP5 few days ago using clover 3252)

Update to PB3 went smoothly for me, largely thanks to the help I got from this forum

i was hoping for native gtx970 support but i had to boot with nv_disable=1 or it kept restarting.
Do we have Nvidia drivers for beta 3?

No. Maxwell support is unlikely for 10.11 release.

right, after having problems with beta 2 i went back to a clean yosmite install.

But wanting to upgrade again to match my mac book.

I've updated to clover 3253, and i have the following in my config

Currently i still have kexts in s / l / e and i believe its using them to boot, do i need to delete them and repair?

what process do i need to follow to install beta 3?

also I've noticed since updating clover to the above, i can no longer open my config.plist in clover configurator. it all just comes up blank. and it appears the clover update removed the kext-dev-mode=1 from the plist file.
