OS X 10.11.5 Update

Status
Not open for further replies.
Updated from 10.11.4 to 10.11.5 went Just fine from the MAS.
The modified Realtek 887 onboard Audio still working with no problem.

Edited:

One problem was that they add the
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext
and
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext
which lock my CPU multiplier and were pain in the ass in the matter of my CPU temperature,I just deleted them and the multiplier is working and reaching the max CPU speed rather than being locked in x9.
You should add this to the topic as for any old build 1st Generation CPU's who used to have issues with both kext :)

Thank you for this info. After delete those files in 10.11.4 also my CPU started to throttle.
But after the update to 10.11.5 these files installed again and the CPU still throttles.

X58, Xeon 5650, AMD R9 290 (Windforce OC)

Worked fine, but strange sequence (which happened for the very first time updating to 10.11.4, but never before):

- MAS download, click to restart, black screen (doesn't go to post first). Let it sit a while.
- Power button restart, post, clover, apple logo w/ bar, black screen. Let it sit a while.
- Come back to computer, hit keyboard/mouse, login window appears.
- Update to 10.11.5, all subsequent shutdowns, startups, and restarts function as expected.

Odd. Likely related to my patched R9 290 and getting no screen signal during one of the special parts of the install process....

Just here to report:
Updated via the app store, everything went smoothly. Everything seems to be working.

My Build:
GA-Z97x-SLI
i7 4790 4.0 GHz
ASUS STRIX GTX980

Didn't use nv_disable=1 this time. It auto disabled and then I allowed the NVidia control panel to auto-update the drivers.

It seems as though OSX 11.5 runs more smoothly and faster than 11.4 Or maybe I'm just imagining things

Updated, now I can't boot. I've updated straight after installing OS X El Capitan, my bootloader is clover with FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement, AtherosL1cEthernet kexts. Can anyone help me? When booting I can only see crossed out circle

No issues here at all w/Combo update. Did not need to reinstall or reconfigure anything.

Another successful update!
1. Updated to latest Clover v3543
2. Downloaded and installed 10.11.5 via combo update.

Trim support and audio (via toleda clover patch) working after update!

A very uneventful update!
