OS X 10.11.2 Update

Woah! Easiest update ever. Z68 UD3 board. Software update --> rebooted to desktop no Nvidia injection (automatically) Basically all I had to do was update the Nvidia drivers. Im running 2x 960s though only 1 is used in Mac.

Worked like a charm. During first reboot it asked me to install network Nvidia drivers and had no problems whatsoever. Nice!

Downloaded the update yesterday morning trough the Administrator user (I normally leave Admin user alone and do not work with it as my main user) update downloaded to my machine and rebooted system, took about 10 minutes to apply the update then rebooted again,got stuck on the colored beach ball with a white screen, (seem like a failed update).

when rebooted back Admin user loaded as 10.11.1 as if I had not applied the update, at this time rebooted again and tried to log in to my regular user, profile had partially loaded, with many items on the dock corrupted and nonoperational, it seem that the failed update probably destroyed and corrupted the user profile.

At this point I have restored my system from a cloned backup(followed the advice on a cloned drive, saved me a world of pain),this time I have used the normal daily user for the update, I had not changed any boot parameters, simply let the system go through it, installed the new NVIDIA Web drivers and worked like a charm.

Exact same issue on my board using latest clover bootloader as well

upgrade to 10.11.2 went fine. prior to this upgrade everything worked perfectly, however now I get a kernal panic when waking from sleep... any suggestions?

Is the RAM in your system officially supported by the motherboard you are using?

From my experience kernel panics after sleep are usually the fault of RAM or USB device drivers. Any custom USB drivers loaded?

RAM on my board is supported. I am not using any 3rd party USB drivers.

The update of all my CustoMacs was uneventful. One thing that surprised me in a pleasant way was the ease of the update on the rig with XEON CPU and GTX 960 graphics. After the combo update (normally I download the combo given that I have to update 3 rigs), the CustoMac booted up with basic resolution (identified the GTX 960 as 3MB video card ) I have not touched one key during the upgrade process. At that point, NVIDIA prompted me for the upgrade and I clicked the button but NOT restarted yet. Modified AppleGraphicsControl.kext (I really like having the Mac Pro Late 2013 definition), reinstalled it with Kext Utility and then restarted the machine. Worked without a glitch.

Hope it continues this way with future upgrades...
