So I currently have Yosemite running fine on my hardware, but I need to install high sierra for work reasons.
So I got a second SSD, and used the standard guide to install mac os onto the disk. Everything worked fine, I can boot into the OS with the bootstick.
I ran multibeast and only selected legacy boot mode and the generic SATA drivers I think.
But when I reboot all I see is a blinking cursor.
It's been a while since I last fiddled with this stuff so I'm a little rusty. Could I just use all the kext files from my running yosemite installation? What else could cause the issue here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem, seems that the EFI partition is not been built correctly.
Im going to reinstall, run Multibeast, Mount the EFI partition of the USB stick and the EFI from the SSD and copy the contents of the USB to the SSD and then I'll restart.
