I own this more boxy version.

Cost is two dollars more but well worth it. Has a USB C to type A cable included. Also works with SATA based M.2 drives (B + M key)

Even has a "Mac like" silver version if you prefer that.

One potential use case. On an older iMac with a slow HDD boot drive, run a version of macOS on NVMe from this external drive for faster performance.

These do look great. Into my shopping-basket one goes.

Obviously I will need the UK version, with an Aluminium shell !!

(Just joking. It's being a gloomy old day here ... :D )

Does Newegg UK offer the same deal ? Remember U in USB C means "Universal" which includes England ;)

Must admit I haven't used NewEgg UK so far. Having Prime on Amazon means I usually head there first.

This is a definite buy though. I have other Orico gear and it always "just works".

Even this Orico HDD toaster looks like it could have been designed by Jony Ive back in the early 2000s.

it's not a straight-forward comparison over here ...
Yeah, here in the US we get the lowest prices on most things tech related. If you were to live in a state with no sales tax too, that's the best it can get. Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon

Not even California has a 20% sales tax on goods. Like the 20% VAT over in the UK. It's closer to 10%.
You could move across the pond to New Hampshire and save a lot of cash on tech ! Craig H. moved to the US just to be near a Micro Center ! Just kidding. Probably not the reason.
