Optimized AppleHDA for Realtek ALC 888 on Lion - Update

I've attached the latest IORegistryExplorer with this current AppleHDA.kext ...
The IOReg is using a dsdt that is different from the dsdt attached. The correct MultiBeast selection is ALC887 Current not ALC887 Legacy.

Regarding the dsdt, patch F4 with MaciASL, see MacMan's Gigabyte Award 1155/1156/1366 DSDT Patches for MaciASL - tonymacx86.com. If you use those patches, 2 issues:
1. use the second Award Gigabyte 1155 Fixes (typo)
2. edit HDEF/layout-id to 0x77, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00 from 0x01, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 for Lion.

You mean 1156 not 1155 - typo correct...?

...dsdt.aml (with tweaks so far)

Thanks for the assistance. Got it working finally.

After reviewing the Console logs, among other things, I noticed that OSvKernDSPLib.kext wasn't loading from /Extra/Extensions ... not sure why it was there, can't remember ... in any case, I moved it to /S/L/E and audio started working.

Played around with a few different AppleHDA files and settled upon the latest MultiBeast 4.7.0 and AppleHDA 2.2.0 (current, not legacy).

Only issue now is that sound is very low ... need to turn volume all the way up to hear. Any ideas on that one...?

...attached SystemReport screen shot and IOReg_Working_Sound_Low files.

Also, still tweaking the DSDT.aml file ... I'll send it over so it can be added to the dB.

Thanks again.
