I recently decided to upgrade to Catalina, and in the process decided to give Opencore a try. Everything works as expected except for audio. My internal card is ALC 269, and it worked on Clover using AppleAlc and layout 3, but this does not work on Opencore so far. Any help is appreciated and all relevant files are attached.

My audio unexpectedly stopped working after updating to Opencore 0.6.0 from 0.5.9. I primarily use a USB DAC so I haven't been too worried about it. Hopefully you figure this out.

According it, you can choose a layout id between 1 and 21.
I noticed one error in your config.plist; your layout-id 31 in DeviceProperties doesn't match your alcid 30 in NVRAM.
OpenCore people recommend to not use layout-id for now and prefer Nvram alcid.

According to many guides, the alcid in boot-args (nvram) takes precedence over anything else so it shouldn't matter. Also, the reason layout 30 was set was I was literally trying out all the layouts listed on the wiki (over 50 of them).

I think the problem is somewhere else but I will make this change in the meantime. Is it expected for the layout to change going from clover to opencore?

The alcid doesn't change. I didn't use layout-id when I was on Clover.
You should delete the layout-id in DeviceProperties and let it blank.

Not sure how to mark solved, but I did figure it out. Had to go over to Windows to dump my DSDT using SSDTtime so it could create my SSDT-HPET.aml. Added the recommended patches to my config.plist and all works well now. My layout-id remained the same from Clover. Guess I'll work on getting touchpad scrolling to work. Thanks again.

And also fixing iMessage, FaceTime which I have never gotten to work.

You don't need to go over to Windows. If there is no DSDT.aml in your OC folder, in Mac OS X, open MaciASL.app and it will dump your genuine System DSDT.
