Official CustoMac Mini 2012 Guide and Notes (in progress)

Ended up cloning the SSD to another drive, then re-installing Multibeast to the new drive. Disabling kext cache didn't work. Fixed but not sure why.

Airport update came out last night, installed it with no problems afterwards. One thing I noticed, the thing immediately woke from sleep just now and there was no mouse and keyboard delay. WEIRD!~:?:

[h=2]About AirPort Utility 6.2 for Mac[/h]
Use AirPort Utility to set up and manage your Wi-Fi network and 802.11n AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule. AirPort Utility 6.2 contains improvements and bug fixes, including:

  • The ability to extend the Guest Wi-Fi network on a network that is configured with multiple AirPort Base Stations
  • The ability to add a WPS-capable Wi-Fi printer
  • Improved international support

For the latest information on AirPort software, check Software Update in System Preferences or the following Apple Support Downloads website: http://support.apple.com/downloads/.

Learn more about Apple Wi-Fi at: http://www.apple.com/wifi/.
For more information on using AirPort products, go to the Product Support Page at:http://www.apple.com/support/airport/.

Airport Utility is just an admin tool to manage Airport base stations. I would not expect this update to affect a machine's normal operation.

I was nervous applying it either way.

Are you using ethernet cable or you replaced wifi mini pcie card?
Some posts ago on this thread some user said that delay on usb was related to network! I am thinking now maybe he was right...

I completed the CustoMac Mini with great success. I skipped out on a different Wi-Fi card and a few other things. The build was completely documented here: http://bit.ly/X0iCz8 The dual-boot works perfectly, including Windows 8 (EFI) and Mac OS 10.8.2. Great stuff.
