Hey Folks!
I'm trying to install macOS Catalina on my Lenovo ThinkPad X230 using OpenCore v0.5.9.
I followed the vanilla guide from the sidebar, and I tested my config with OC Sanity checker, but the installer doesn't seem to work. I also tried this with the online and offline method as well.
When the Apple logo and the loading bar first pops up, the installer just shuts down my laptop.
This very same OC package works fine with the Mojave installer (both online and offline).

Note: I've tried using both USB3 and USB2 pendrives.

This happens right after the Apple logo disappears: crash1.png & crash2.png below
Video of the whole booting: google drive

I also uploaded my EFI folder. Check in the downloads section.

My specs:

Notebook Lenovo ThinkPad X230
Motherboard Model LENOVO 23252K5
Motherboard Chipset Intel QM77 (Panther Point)
CPU Intel Core i5-3320M (Ivy Bridge)
RAM 8GB (2x4GB Samsung DDR3)
iGPU Intel HD 4000

My full specs can be viewed in the attached text file below (specs.txt).

Do you have any idea why is this happening?

It's been a while, but I had a similar issue. The problem was with my nvme drive not being supported (I presume because I changed for another one and it booted fine). Might be worth a check!

Hey thanks! Did you remove the drive to fix it? I also have an nvme, but I tried injecting the proper kexts for it.

Yes I physically changed the nvme drive and it worked on first try.

The X230 does not support NVME. I don't think that's your problem.
