I just read a bit about the NVRAM situation on:

As far as I can tell, it's still a work in progress.

thank you for your interest ... I'm wrong if I say it can be from the apple / extensions / firmware / firmware.scap file? I have not been able to reproduce what has been said above ... and because of the abusive suspension I received, I think the man (DexterOX) has lost interest and no longer supports ...

If you have time, read that thread. A lot of great information. Right now, it looks like they are still working on it for Z390.

Today, July 4, 2019, vit9696 (developer of AptioMemoryFix, Lilu, AppleALC, WhateverGreen, VirtualSMC, and many more) had this to say about Z390 NVRAM:

Hello friends

After a while away, I return with some news and adding some information to this thread.
Many of you do not yet have a Native NVRAM like me on your Z390 motherboards and must use EmuVariableUefi.efi for this Emulated functions.
According to my research and testing some EFI Folders of users with this same Motherboard, it seems that a very complete DSDT makes the real difference.
My Motherboard may be an exception and I really have a factory-native NVRAM, I'm not afraid to always update to the last BIOS, nothing breaks when doing so.

My DSDT is complicated and very personalized with my hardware, but someone else can patch your DSDT and try.

What did you fix in DSDT?

Hello @pastrychef
Well, the patches are basically the same that we could do from clover, unlike they are applied directly to the DSDT, they are more than 20 patches, also in many of the patches I have made them to match the hardware of my PC and behave Like a real Mac.
There used to be a user with MaciASL scripts that performed the DSDT patch, he had taken them from @RehabMan patches, customized them and grouped them so that the process was automatically.
I prefer to do everything manually but it takes many hours or days but it is better.
A search for all these patches would be the best start.
