Today i got this message for the first time from the new NVIDIA System Preferences pane that a new driver is available. I couldn't find this update on their site as a standalone- this could be the first direct update for users of the NVIDIA Web drivers.

How to Install the Web Drivers:
In order to flag the alternate drivers on a CustoMac, you must install the package and also add the flag manually to the chameleon.org.Boot.plist. For Chimera bootloader:

1. Open Finder
2. Navigate to /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
3. Open in TextEdit
4. Add nvda_drv=1 to Kernel Flags as shown:

Example Usage:

Code:
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>darkwake=0 nvda_drv=1</string>

5. Save and reboot

You should be on the new NVIDIA drivers. :)

Please note that these drivers should be considered experimental. If you aren't having any issues, do not install- the native OS X drivers work great for most people.

Are folks getting real performance differences between web and native drivers? Using an OC'd GTX 670, I only achieved about a 2-3 FPS gain in Unigine Heaven ("ultra" with 2xAA at 1440p). I it is a tiny bump but seemingly w/in the margin of error and/or not actually noticeable.

Awesome! But when will it release to nvidias homepage? i have just installed mountain lion and it was with 10.8.4. The last one is just for 10.8.3.

Thanks mate! Yes im using Mac Pro 3,1
