There has been a reasonable amount of updaters who have either installed or updated their Sierra to the most recent build which is 16B2657 and discovered that there is no NVidia driver update for it.
Note that there is 2 builds for 10.12.1 : build 16B2555 and the later 16B2657. NVidia Web Driver is available for 16B2555 but not for 16B2657. There is currently a post called:

which offers a solution. but it might be too technical for those not familiar with fiddling with kexts and extensions. A simpler temporary solution is presented here but only to be applied until NVidia releases the updated driver, which should be in a couple of days if not more.
Workaround:
1) First check that you actually have build 16B2657 by going into About this mac. clicking on System Report, then scrolling and clicking on software in the left pane. In the right pane you should see the System version including the build.
2) Once confirmed, search and download the app WebDriver Updater (ver 1.55).
3) Run the app. and select first the middle button labelled "NVDAStratupWeb,kext patch". Tick (or check mark) the option Patch after install.
4) Under "Fake OS Build version" enter the latest build, that is 16B2657.
5) Next, press the first button "Info & Updates" and press "Check NVIDIA Update". The app will advise that there is no update and offers a drop down with build numbers.
6) Select build number 16B2555 then click install. Once installed it will advise you to reboot.
7) Once you reboot it will go into NVidia with full res automatically
If for any reason this fails, it might be worth waiting for the proper driver to be released. Note this is only a temp solution.
