NVIDIA has released alternate graphics drivers for OS X El Capitan 10.11.3. These are separate from the drivers Apple ships as standard, and should be considered experimental. These drivers have been known to solve OpenCL issues with certain applications, as well as providing better native GPU power management for certain devices.

NOTE: These drivers are currently the only method to get full acceleration for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, and TITAN X 'Maxwell' graphics cards. There are no current Macs with these cards, so support is absent natively in OS X.

If you've installed the drivers before, you may get a notification to update to the new drivers from the built in System Preferences pane.

How to Install the Web Drivers:

In order to use the alternate drivers on a CustoMac, you must first install the driver package. Also make sure to choose NVIDIA Web Driver using the standard menubar or system preference pane then reboot.

This does not crash Photoshop CC 2015.1.1 when OpenCL is enabled and resizing an image.

Thank you Tony, again! Who can tell me if these drivers work with Final Cut Pro X? The 10.11.1-10.11.2 didn't work well.

These new drivers fixed the FCPX issues for me. I haven't gone through a whole project yet but at least it's not crashing on transitions anymore.

I'm also getting much much better performance in BruceX benchmark. In the previous builds of El Capitan I was getting ~90 seconds with the OSX drivers and ~45 seconds with the Nvidia drivers. Now I get ~27 seconds with 346.03.05f01 and 10.11.3.

Hey,

Am I meant to be using the web drivers for a GTX 760?

Thanks

Sorry if this is a daft question, but do you know if they will ever include support for HDMI Audio without SSDT fixes?

Beta driver for 10.11.3 is about 10-15% faster for OpenGL than the final version. With Beta I got 99 FPS in CinebenchR15 and with final driver only 88 FPS. So I stay with beta version. Guys running Yosemite reach 115-120 FPS with the same spec...
