I uninstalled the Nvidia driver
I have restarted
I applied the patch in the terminal

is ONLY for 10.13.x, you CANNOT use it for other versions such as 10.12.x
and even...
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update/master/nvidia-update.sh)
is enough to get you in trouble if you are not on the OS version the script expects.

pls LOOK at what the messages are saying.....
it seems not to be a driver issue..... but more like a security issue.
the ktxt are being deleted because the security is blocking the re-build of the cache, until you fix that underlying issue I don't think you are going to have much luck.
