NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (387.10.10.10.40)

That driver was removed by Nvidia as people were having installation issues with it.
Just use 387.10.10.10.40.113 as it's the latest driver currently available

u know when driver for 10.12.6 come out :)

I am really getting tired of this BS! I am on the verge of giving macOS the one finger solute...
It's more than simply waiting a day or two so I can get my GTX 1080 working again after last night's Security update, it's Apple on the whole, still bitter after a decade long spat due to GPU failure, penalizing it's loyal and dedicated user base who happen to choose nVidia, the undisputed leader in GPU technology, over the excuse laden AMD Radeon Technology Group who has brought virtually nothing new to the table in years...

worked for me :)

Command did NOT work for me on High Sierra 17G5019 with Strix GTX 960 2GB
Does anyone have the verison 387.10.10.15.15.108 downloaded and is kind enough to share it? :(

just did a 10.13.6 update & saw the same problem
after the 2019-001 security update

it can be fixed by :

terminal

sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches

before this it showed NVIDIA drivers as selected & loaded, but black screen, even after reboot several times.

after terminal commands and reboot it all came back.

but ALSO this gave me an insight into why 10.12.6 might not work, becasue after runnig script it showed

Could not find a release for your OS.

The latest recommended release is:
387.10.10.10.40.113

which DOES NOT seem to be the drivers for 10.12.6

I read that on the previous page, yes. Some gave the reply that they succeeded with the installation, so I was thinking I can try with it too. Whatever.

I will take the waiting for the re-release of 387.10.10.15.15.108 succssesor and avoid dealing with kexts. :beachball: Thanks for help tho.

Thanks to @hardcorefs too.
