You can always edit the distribution file inside the driver package. No promises the driver works once installed because it could still be incompatible.

Is there a guide or info on doing this somewhere?

Saw that post, I'm not using 10+ though, I'm still on OS X 10.9.5 (13F1096) (compatibility with PT 10).

The error I get is: This version OS X is not supported.

Thanks

It's the same method though. However you just need the right driver.

I don't think they have a later driver for 13F1096. That's why I was wondering if there was a way to modify the current one.

Are you trying to install the driver or is it already installed?

The driver is already installed, it's after I did the recent security update that it forced itself to be disabled.

Have you tried modifying the NVDAStartup.kext\Contents\info.plist?

That is the file that determines what OS X build number the installed driver is compatible with. You would need to change the build number, you can even just change it to something like "13F". After it is modified, rebuild kernel cache and rebuild permissions. You will also need to boot with kext-dev-mode=1 since the signature on the modified kext will no longer be valid. If they release an update in the future then you can just update like normal.

<key>NVDARequiredOS</key>
<string>13F34</string>

Is this the string that needs to be changed?

to:

<key>NVDARequiredOS</key>
<string>13F</string>

Thanks
