NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.5 (346.02.03)

Just did the security update and am on 14F1808. Got offered new driver and updated (346.02.03f07) but after reboot, it's like my Nvidia card (GTX 750 Ti) is no longer present and I get the crappy OS X drivers.

Any suggestions?
Hmm, it seems that adding nvda_drv=1 to the Kernel Flags in /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist did the trick. I wonder why I didn't need that flag previously for it to work.

Something changed and your board is no longer saving NVRAM which is where the boot argument nvda_drv=1 is stored when you select the Nvidia Web driver using the driver manager.

There is a NEW version of the web driver for Yosemite, in fact none of these old versions will even install with the most updated 10.10.5 (the installer bombs out saying it is incompatible with the version of Mac OS 10.10.5, even though its the 10.10.5 driver, I guess the build IDs matter...) Find driver at::

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/346.02.03f08/WebDriver-346.02.03f08.pkg

This corresponds with OS X 10.10.5 build ID 14F1909, which is the latest Yosemite as of 08/15/2016.

I am using it on my hackintosh with an EVGA GeForce GTX 750 TI FTW, plugged into a monitor at 2560x1440. Working on adding a second display, waiting on the cabling... not sure if it will work. Otherwise very happy with the performance!

Prior to installing this driver, OSX did not support the card at all - it refused to even boot, rebooting itself early in the boot process. I had to put my old video card (old GT 640) back in, install the web drivers, enable them, then install the GTX 750 -and it now works great!

NVIDIA has released their alternate graphics drivers for OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. These are separate from the drivers Apple ships as standard, and should be considered experimental. These drivers have been known to solve OpenCL issues with certain applications, as well as providing better native GPU power management for certain devices.

NOTE: These drivers are currently the only method to get full acceleration for 'Maxwell' graphics cards: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, and TITAN X. There are no current Macs with these cards, so support is absent natively in OS X.

If you've installed the drivers before, you may get a notification to update to the new drivers from the built in System Preferences pane.

How to Install the Web Drivers:
In order to use the alternate drivers on a CustoMac, you must first install the driver package. Also make sure to choose NVIDIA Web Driver using the standard menubar or system preference pane then reboot.

So if i have a build 14F1912 which driver i will need? Nothing i have tried seems compatible and automatically it will not download anything. I have 970 gtx 10.10.5

I updated this morning too and GTX 950 is also unsupported.... Please let me know if you find anything!

Jes it is a real bummer as i have work to do with my hackintosh and only OSX graphic driver is working. How long do you reckon we have to wait until the 14F1912 has any driver compatible? Or usually has it been long wait?

Yeah same here, but no I don't know sorry, I've only just recently got a GPU so haven't had the issue before. I'm considering removing the GPU and just using the integrated graphics for the time being while i complete the work I'm doing.

I contacted Nvidia about it but they were no help at all and got quite rude when i asked about it so I really don't have a clue.

WIW I got the latest one ending with the 08 installed using Nvdia Web driver installer from InsanelyMac but i can't select it. It's greyed out.
