After MultiBeast Imac14.2 install, were gettin closer. Now OS 10.10.4 show up my gpu as ‘NVIDIA Graphics Device 6143 MB‘. ?

EDIT: Davinci Resolve now gives me 25FPS 4K RAW playback. So it works perfecly in that performance. Nice. :clap:

The device name doesn't really matter; Nvidia just hasn't updated the drivers yet to say Nvidia GTX 980ti. As long as you are getting the proper performance and power management you are fine and just have to wait for another driver update for the name.

I Don't Know. How do i make it a `Imac14`? Just check the box in latest MultiBeast?
Yes. The easiest way to change your System Definition is with running MultiBeast and just selecting the SysDef you want. iMac14,2 is a good one to chose for a Haswell build with a graphics card; Mac Pro 3,1 is another, but you may not get Airplay (if you need it). Stay away from iMac15,1 for now; same for MacPro4,1/5,1/6,1, too.

In MultiBeast, Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac14,2. :thumbup:

ProMac 3.1, latest Webdrivers somehow fixed my problem.
Enjoying full support of Asus GTX 750 Ti, card identified correctly.
don't ask me why and how, but it works :)

Its not a weird issue, those preferences are just cosmetic on a hackintosh. If you want to use the web driver you must use the boot flag nvda_drv=1.

@All,

I Updated my Yosemite build to 10.10.4 and installed the latest Nvidia Web Drivers in anticipation of upgrading my 3 year old GTX 660 to a GTX 980 am booting via Clover with nvda_drv=1 kernel switch, SMBIOS=13,2.

All seems good with no real difference in Haven or Valley benchmarks (maybe just a few FPS less).

Just got to wait for the GTX 980 to arrive ....

Question: Does any one know how far back (in hardware support) the Nvidia Web drivers go ?, i have a mate who has GTX 470 and seems to always have issues when running OSX ... was wondering if switching to the web drivers would help him ?

Cheers
Jay

They should go back a long ways of it is anything like Windows drivers. The most current drivers in Windows support ALL NVidia cards no matter how old. I've used the web drivers with a GTX 285 before but that was when running Lion on a Mac Pro 1,1.

I'm already using nvda_drv=1

So you are saying it doesn't matter what it shows there? Web driver is already applied?
