NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.0 (343.01.01) with 'Maxwell' GeForce GTX 970 an

Idk what the hell happened, I was happily driving my GTX 780 of ASUS, on 343.02.02 driver and then apple released a minor security update… and after the update the nvidia driver stopped working and detecting my card… also the system, with OSX default drivers I was getting GTX 780 3072MB… and now it only reads NVIDIA Chip Model 124mb so that doesn't look right… I uninstalled the driver, tried to reinstall and I get this message…

"Mac OS X version is not compatible
Mac OS X version 10.10.2 (14C1510) is not supported with this package. Please see NVIDIA’s website for further driver information."

So… have you got any suggestion? I don't know what to do to make this work back

PS: I'm on 10.10.2 Yosemite, Motherboard is ASRock z97 Extreme 3… and except slow shutdown and when external drive connected, no shut down I didn't had any other problems…

Thanks! I found it later anyway, but... do you know if there is any reason why I do get The Installation Has Failed, after registering components and that stuff, ALWAYS with ANY installer for ANY application or driver or whatever? Is driving me crazy and I don't know how to fix that without formating... Yes I tried repairing permissions...

(I wanted to test drivers before swapping cards...)

So i've replace my raging GTX 590 with Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 2GB. And following the guides it's up and running.

Just one issue, in this thread I have seen many have their videos cards recognised by Yosemite. Any suggestions?

But MY card come up as

Well if you read the message very very carefully, it says that the Mac OS X version you have is not supported by this driver... Guess what, the message is true, this driver (and by extension the Maxwell cards) only work in Yosemite ! It should also have said so in the page where you downloaded them, and it is also written in the title of this thread

nevermind, someone else helped me out already. forgot to deactivate to old nvidia inject in config.plist from clover!

I'm trying to install the driver and it's telling me:

According to my settings, I currently HAVE 10.10.2, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Can you help?

There are 3 different builds of 10.10.2. Build 14C1514 is with both security updates installed. Open up the App Store and make sure you are completely updated.

You probably just need to change your system profile to something like an iMac14,2
