Translated answer via google translate

Hello Eugene,

Thanks for contacting Nvidia support. My name is Oleg, I'm here to help you in your situation. We are very sorry that you have any questions related to the product Nvidia.

We apologize in advance that we are writing to you in Russian, but judging by the fact that the question was written to us via Google translate, we took the liberty to respond in Russian.

In short, as you requested, no, Nvidia is not going to release a driver for OS X Mojave and your video card in the near future.

And if you are still interested in a more detailed answer, then I will explain a bit. OS OS is an extremely closed OS and we just cannot release drivers for this system, Apple’s drivers for it are always made by Apple itself, all the source code is available to us. But unfortunately from practice I can say that it “rarely” adapts ”drivers for their OS, with long delays and unfortunately not for all video cards. Our drivers for your GTX 1060 video card are more open to Windows 7,8,10 ..., Linux, FreeBSB ... almost every month, sometimes even more often, if new games or new technologies appear in games.

If there are other questions, feel free to write.

Yours faithfully,
Oleg.

Ahem, does this Oleg guy really work for NVidia? Someone should explain to him that HIS company has released drivers regularly for the last versions of macOS....

Bloody interns.... ;-)

I guess yes. Message come from [email protected]

LOL I asked Samsung support about my 4k Samsung Monitor not being detected as native 4k by macOs - the response I got from the official Samsung Support representative was - "The monitor is working as normal, we do not support macOS so you should not be expecting it to work with macOS". When dealing with major corporates it is better to ask the question not of support monkeys but of the country marketing lead who will be authorised to make Press Statements on behalf of the company. That way you will get a Truer picture of what the company intends doing.

I am sure we shouldn't trust this Support "specialist". Seems he is new there or something

I have imagination about what does inside in company, if they was hire this Oleg.

Sigh ..... It does not give one much hope if this is the quality of Nvidia's customer service ....

Clearly this Oleg guy has no idea about what he's talking about ... he does not even seem to know about the existence of Nvidia's MacOS Web Drivers, he seems to only know about the Apple approved/supported Nvidia drivers ..... personally I would not read anything into his response.
